Self locking rings / Serrated lock washers

Use of these rings is recommended on even shafts without grooves made of flexible material with a resistance of 589 - 687 N/mm2. 

Use of these rings on shafts with ground, hardened respectively galvanic treated surfaces is not recommended as there the carrying capacity will be reduced significantly. 

For serrated lock washers without groove we recommend to avoid galvanizing as the risk of hydrogen is quite high due to the low thickness of ring. Furthermore, in spite of dehydrogenation carried out after galvanizing, a certain remaining fragility is possible.
