Retaining rings

DIN 471

Rings according to DIN 471 are axial mountable retaining elements for shafts with universal use. They can transfer high axial forces between the machine element and the nut where the ring is mounted.

Standard surface protection:
DIN 471   up to d1  35 mm  phosphated and oiled
                 From d1 36 mm  self finish and oiled

Material used:
spring steell EN 1032 – ¼ ( DIN 1722 )
DIN 471               d1 4 ÷ 27              C60S (C60)
DIN 471               d1 28 ÷ 300         C75S (C75)

DIN 472

Rings according to DIN 472 are retaining elements for bores with universal use. They can transfer high axial forces between the machine element and the nut where the ring is mounted.

Standard surface protection:
DIN 472  up to d1  17 mm                self finish and oiled
                 from d1 18 bis 100 mm  phosphated and oiled
                 from d1 102                       self finish and oiled

Material used:
spring steel EN 1032 – ¼ ( DIN 1722 )
DIN 472               d1 8 ÷ 33              C60S (C60)
DIN 472               d1 34 ÷ 300         C 75S(C75)

size  I 18 x 1,0  up to  I 98 x 3,0  are normally delivered in shrinking foil !
